6.2.1 Cerveteca Lisboa

Avenida de Paris 15

Location HERE

Cerveteca celebrates a decade of bringing craft beer to Lisboetas (and tourists) in 2024. But mention the name to anyone who remembers how it all began will cause eyes to mist over and reminiscences to kick in. Remember the old Cerveteca on Praça Flores at the west end of the Bairro Alto?

Those evenings when so many people spilled out into the street? The discovery, the camaraderie? But all that is gone: as I have been told, the outlet on Avenida de Paris was initially opened as a second Cerveteca, but then came the Covid Pandemic, push came to shove aided and abetted by the cost of those central Lisbon rents, and here we are.

Fortunately, even with microbrewery outlets dominating the market, Cerveteca holds firm, offering a well-chosen and well-balanced board of beer offerings, a small-ish menu of food choices, and the outside seating that was definitely not possible back in the Praça Flores days.

Old Cerveteca is no more. New Cerveteca is here and now. Visit it and enjoy.

Metro Areeiro (Linha Verde, there are lifts), buses at Areeiro (708) and Praça Londres (49B, 722, 767). Heavy rail services at Roma-Areeiro.
