3.1 Taxis
Lisbon’s distinctive black and green taxis will be lined up at the Airport, and at transport interchanges such as Sete Rios, Santa Apolónia, Cais do Sodré, Entrecampos, and Oriente.
As with cities like London, these are the only vehicles you can hail on the street. Fares are, generally, metered. But like all other vehicles using Lisbon’s roads, the traffic conditions dictate how fast you go (or, more often, not).
You can always find a taxi at transport interchanges, and across the downtown. If you don’t want to use public transport, or have mobility needs that make using it difficult, taxis may be the best option.
